Good afternoon! One day before the Super Bowl and counting not that I'm really excited about who wins..it's just that I am ready to eat all the good food and share the laughs with my family. I have already gotten a lot done today.. OIL CHANGE, a visit to Wally World( you know Sat.'s are the days where you go and re up on things) and now I'm cleaning. ( I STILL GOT THIS CHINESE CRAVING I have been having for weeks..so let's see if I get it fulfilled today :) ) My next move, is to get things ready for TEAR OUT YOUR MOUF Tour. I CAN'T WAIT TO see this show! I'm so excited and I know I'm going to love every moment of it! Well that's enuff spill on me today hope your Saturday is FAB! Lets see what's going on today...





OBAMA'S HALF BROTHER ARRESTED

Well you know their going to keep trying to find a way to eat at Barack so what better way to do that then go to another continent Africa to be exact. Wow they really have nothing else better to do.. okay so his half brother George Obama was arrested today by the Kenyan police. It seems they found marijuana on him and he resisted the arrest. So what do you think is going to happen? In my opinion, I think their going to find a way to let him go and ACT as though this never happened.


Watch this interview Steve Harvey did on his book..I went looking for it at Borders Tuesday and they ha already sold out.. I'm going to be on the lookout for it though..because I know it's going to be a good read..if you listen to the strawberry letter in the mornings just imagine what the book has to offer...(MAN sometimes I feel like I COULD write a book on relationships..who knows maybe one day I will)



KIMORA AND RUSS DONE DEAL

I know by now Russell has prolly met him another model he trades girls just as much as DIDDY lol. BUT I respect Russ he is the father of hip hop. I wish them both the best and you know from my earlier blog that Kimora and her Blood Diamond man Djimon Hounsou are expecting their first baby together. i hope Ming and Aoki are okay in all this aftermath.

I didn't think of this but it talks about in the interview how Blair was playing the actual real life character back in the 80s when he was on LA LAW. I love Blair Underwood he's a great writer, director, actor, and GREAT REPRESENTATION OF A REAL MAN. See the video:

MIKE VICK HEADING TO HALFWAY HOUSE MAYBE..

According to ESPN Mike Vick may be heading to halfway house anyday. He's serving his time for bankruptcy right now. Supposedly, he will be released July 20 but could serve the last few months of his term at a halfway house in Newport News his hometown. For more info click here

So do you think he wlll get out early or deserves to be let out early? I know this was a big topic along the time he was going back and forths to court. He's been away for a long time now it seems..guess time will tell how this develops..

REUNITED...

I know it's been a while but HELLO everybody! I know you were probably wondering today where was my Thursday blog or the one today. I'm reunited with you today. I apologize for being MIA ( MISSING IN ACTION)..I was exhausted and I had to take a day break..but I'm back now. I noticed that I have some newcomers to my page. I'm thankful that you have taken the time to stop by continuously and follow my blog. I welcome all your comments at this point. Speak your mind at any subject that interests you. My mind has been full lately having to learn a lot of new things with my job and constantly coming up with creative ideas on my writing.

This Friday has been a GOOD Friday overall, I got to spend time with loved ones, and visit the mall even though I was just paying a bill ( VS GOTTA LOVE HER :) ) and I managed to squeeze in my mocha latte while I browsed around. Well I know there's a lot of things going on right about now with it being Super Bowl weekend..SO LET'S GET IT GOING...

WOW! I ran across this story on CNN saying that this woman had 8 babies..THAT'S HARD TO BELIEVE..I just can't imagine pushing out 8 babies back to back..She is a strong woman. Word was she had the embryos implanted a year ago. I wonder if she is happy with that decision right about now b/c her husband is set to take off to IRAQ. I'm curious to know what women think about this..would you be open to 8 babies if you were able to support them or more less under what circumstances would you be willing to have 8 babies?

DANITY KANE SPLITS AND DAWN GOES SOLO

OKAY SO BY now I'm sure you heard that Danity Kane went their seperate ways.See Dawn's perspective here. I heard that Shannon left the group since the whole group wasn't together. Recall, Aubrey and D Woods were kicked out of the group. Lately, I have noticed Aubrey trying to be on the scene as party girl hanging with Paris Hilton and she's planning to pose for Playboy (like we never saw that coming..no surprise.) I hate to hear the group is splitting up b/c I actually liked them together. I really wish them all the best. I hope Dawn's solo career goes well, but time will tell... What do you think about the way this group turned out? Did you see them being together for a while...

For all you Coke lovers out there I read in there AJC today that Classic will be dropped from the Coke name sometime in the beginning of this year. This is interesting I wonder what made them decide to change their name. I hear it has something to do with a global campaign and the whole idea of upgrading ( out with the old in with the new). I just hope they don't try to change the ingredients since their changing the name.


JESSICA SIMPSON WEIGHT

I'm a fan of Jessica Simpson..she has a nice voice and one of the flyest shoe lines out today..I have heard recently about the media putting her on blast for gaining a few pounds..what's up with that.SO WHAT SHE IS JUST A LIL THICKER..I don't feel like they should blast her on that..but then I guess it's like a given when your in the industry and constantly under the radar that you have to stay a certain weight to be looked upon as a POSITIVE ICON. What do you think about this? I mean there's so much more going in this world then to worry about her weight.. What's your take?

TODAY WAS A ICE COLD WINTERY DAY MIXED WITH ICE,RAIN, SLEET, AND SNOW! This whole week has been in the 30s.. I'm happy I made it through. It was hard waking up extra early today to make sure I made into work. ON a good note, it did go by pretty fast and I'm so tired right about now, but I know I had some words to drop. I want to kick a BDAY shout out to one of my BESTIES Shanequa! HAPPY BDAY DIVA! Now let's get down to the business... I have a variety of topics today that I'm sure will upgrade you and probably make you think hmmm lol.. Lets get it!


A FASHION MINUTE..OKAY SO is ANGELINA JOLIE'S DRESS BACKWARDS OR FORWARDS?! YOU BE THE JUDGE. I found this on AJC,and it is funny.. it does seem as though she had some technical difficulties in wearing Max Azria number..I know this designer boiling HOT RIGHT ABOUT NOW.. In my opinion I think it looks better on the model..What's your take?

Today, I read that Kelly Rowland has decided to cancel all her ties with Matthew Knowles (Beyonce's father) on the management tip. I mean who can blame her..Mr. Knowles has done nothing for her solo career and we all know Kelly can blow just as well as the rest of her group. In my view, it always was like she was put in the corner and overlooked. I'm thinking back to a BET AWARDS show when she literally was given a small part of the stage and performance and then B came in took over the whole stage and took away from her solo performance. You remember this? Although, I will credit Mr. Knowles in being a father figure to her and molding her as she was a child and into a young adult. I wish Kelly the best and I hope she finds a manager that is OUT FOR HER BEST INTEREST AND NOBODY ELSE B/C she deserves it.

This a NEW DANCE called the "STANKY LEG," IS by a group called the G BOYZ. I heard about IT through a friend of mine from Memphis. THE group is actually from Arlington, TX.. I don't know about the song...but the dance IS HILARIOUS...WHY DO SOME OF THE dance moves remind me of a certain greek organization.. uhmmm they may be thieving..what do you think about this dance..and can you figure out what fraternity I'm speaking of? So is this a YAY OR NAY ..I was hoping we were finally giving up on these type of songs..Soulija Boy really started something that seems as though it won't end anytime soon..sigh

Apparently, it was not of STAR quality for the judges mainly Simone..so they told her to find her inner SUPERSTAR and then come back and audition..there's no denying this girl is TALENTED! I will be sure to vote for her and you should too..Check her out let me know what you think... I guess she can hang up her waitressing / nanny gig for a while now.. SHE'S HOLLYWOOD BOUND!

Yes!!! I'm counting down Sunday is Super Bowl Sunday and I can't wait to celebrate it with my family. Although, sadly there will be No GO TITANS GO! :( THIS game is sure to be a success not to mention another favorite component of Super Bowl for me ..WHAT COULD IT BE? YOU KNOW THE COMMERICALS are sure to keep us glued to our seats and talking when we head back to work the day after. Well when I was in college, I recall always having to pay close attention to the commercials as far as delivery, price, demo, etc..yea that's the good education of the MASS Communications dept. RAINY DAYS...

RAINY DAYS BRING BACK MEMORIES..(I'm thinkin of Immature song Rainy Days...don't act like you don't remember the old group Batman,Romeo,and LDB) I was just thinking to myself that sometimes I can compare certain days of my life to songs... You know what I mean? For example, I remember Immature "We Got It" and being in the 7th grade and having the biggest crush on Batman bka Marques Houston. But what I'm saying in a nutshell, is today was a Rainy Day and I had a dream that brought a happy memory to my head. I wonder sometimes what my Dreams mean? ( I have seen the folks on talk shows who say dreams have meanings.) Today, it was all gloomy outside and I found myself spacing out at work and thinking about various things in my life that have happened, my present and future days. At any rate, I may not know what ALL these dreams or ideas are right now, but I grow more confident each day THAT MY DREAMS ARE GOING TO BECOME A REALITY.. and I will be WHO I'm destined to be and HAVE what I'm destined to HAVE! WITH THAT SAID TODAY'S BLOG IS GOING OUT TO ALL MY DREAMERS, GO-GETTERS AND CREATIVE PEOPLE..

I KNOW I SAID THIS WAS GOING TO BE ON DREAMS, GO GETTERS AND CREATIVITY BUT i just saw this story and I had to bring it to your attention. I'm so saddened to hear about this family deciding to take the wrong way out. It seem Mr. and Mrs. Lupoe like so many people today lost their job about a week ago. Mr. Lupoe killed his five children and wife. After doing this, he went on to fax a letter to local station ...and then turned the gun on himself. This is such a tragedy my hearts and prayers are with this family. SUICIDES are terrible deaths to deal with..and it's just hard to imagine unfortunately after all the options in life even at tough times and major improveents with Our NEW president that this MAN CHOSE TO TAKE HIS FAMILY AND HIMSELF out. What's your take on this? I Know personally for one I have been to my share of suicide funerals over the years, but this is on another level a whole family...

HI EVERYONE! I know you thought I was absent today while you were at work or at home looking for some juicy news. I haven't forgotten about you. In fact, I have been waiting to get to my MAC all day. You see this morning while I was driving to work.. I WAS HALF SLEEP OF COURSE TRYING TO BECOME AWAKE ....on my morning commute with traffic..( courtesy of Antioch) I was listening to my normal Steve Harvey Morning Show with the end of the Strawberry Letter...then I was EXCITED b/c Steve Harvey announced the release of his much awaited book, "Act Like a Lady, Think Like a Man." I definitely will be running to get this book when my payday arrives. :) Some topics to look forward to are:

WAKE UP CALL!

Good evening, to everybody. I'm glad I got the chance to write today, because I was afraid I wouldn't have a blog today...at any rate I'm here to deliver DIVA Avenue to you. This Sunday, has been a productive day thus far. I went to church and got my word from GOD. Bishop Walker definitely provided a wake up call for me and so many others I'm sure..the sermon today was on BEING DEBT FREE AND GETTING YOUR FINANCES IN ORDER. He even brought in loads of bins that would be put into a shredder for the congregation to throw their credit cards and copies of bills in. I plan to cut up the few credit cards I have.

I definitely can testify and say I needed the wake up...I mean I pay my bills on time often ahead of schedule, but sometimes honestly I can admit I struggle with adding more debts to my list. Bishop Walker explained debt so simple and true. He informed me that borrowing is a form of "slavery." (I for one DO NOT WISH TO BE A SLAVE OR BECOME A SLAVE TO ANY DEGREE.) He provided me a new acroymn that is effective DEBT=Doing Everything But Tithing I must add that YES I do tithe.

Overall, the message was to get your finances in order, create a budget plan, eliminate your bills one at a time starting with the lowest one and work your way up, TITE, and live below your means and not splurge on things. ( I know I have some work to do with the splurging, but I do have a budget that I follow.) Well that's enough of my Sunday testimony. Here's some news you can use for today...

Ty Inc. the same company responsible for the beanie baby craze decided to make some dolls named Sweet Sasha and Marvelous Malia. They went to far with this..they are not HOT and they look nothing like the adorable Obama girls. I know Michelle has some words for them.
Their press secretary delivered a comment on the new dolls.

"We feel it is inappropriate to use young, private citizens for marketing purposes," Mrs. Obama's press secretary, Katie McCormick Lelyveld, said in a statement.

So what do you think about the dolls? In addition, I also noticed the Obama chia pet the other day... is that acceptable? I think they went a little overboard with both of these..

DIVA DAY!

Hola! It's Saturday and I have had a good one so far. I finally got to catch up on some much needed zzz's after a long night. I'm thinking today will be a DIVA day..you know the day where you wake up and want to get a makeover or GLAMOURIZED! Not that I'm not glamourous everyday, but sometimes you just wanna make small changes to yourself. Well This is going to be A DIVA DAY FOR ME..IT IS MUCH NEEDED and DESERVED! ( IN MY OPINION :)) I think I'm going to head to get my hair done ( nothing like a new fresh do to start you off) and maybe even make a small purchase of the day at an economical price. MALIA AND SASHA WIN BIG

Mail and Sasha Obama recently got one of the biggest surprises upon entering their new home in the White House. They had a scavenger hunt party while the Obamas were at their ball. According to ABC News, they watched movies Bolt and "High School Musical 3." They also were taught history about the White House in form of a scavenger hunt. At the end of the hunt, they opened the door to find the Jonas Brothers whom serenated the girls. I know that was a great surprise since this is their favorite band.( I wish I could play scavenger hunt and see my favorite artists...:) )

New Aaliyah Movie in the works




DID YOU GUYs Know a movie is underway on the life of the talented and beautiful singer Aaliyah? I can't wait to see this..I'm a BIG fan of Aaliyah..I miss her so much..she was always just so down to earth and humble..I still remember where I was when she died. I had just started college life at MTSU. I even recall doing a presentation on her in my speech class. ( Which yes I did get an A+)

Anyhow, the movie is set to be on Warner Brother Films and it will be a biopic. Bill Condon, director of “DreamGirls” will be directing the film, so I know it will be great quality and who knows maybe it will produce a Oscar. I even here it will touch on her private life with R. Kelly and touch her intimate side that she was so clever in hiding.

It has also been confirmed Aaliyah’s friends will be featured in the film. Her Timbaland, Missy Elliot, Ginuwine, choreographer Fatima Robinson,and Hype Williams who will recreate her last video Rock the Boat. The movie said to start production end of March and is rumored to have a production budget of over 80 million dollars.

Okay so by now I hope you all have seen Notorious ( come on I gave you like two weeks..lol those that know me know I'm a movie head!) well word has it Lil Kim is not to happy about former 3LW member Naturi. Now I did actually see the movie and I will say it was better than I thought. I saw a softer side to Biggie than I ever know before. ON LIL Kim tip, I must admit initally before seeing it I was like this girl looks nothing like Lil Kim..but if you see the movie SHE DID PLAY HER ROLE TO THE T! I MEAN SHE HAD HER VOICE DOWN AND SWAGGER..ONLY THINK IS SHE NOT THE PHYSICAL LIL KIM..At any rate here is the words straight from the Horse's mouth...

LIL KIM SAYS

I feel like I was not portrayed how I should have been in this movie. I was in love with BIG and he was in love with me. I was never a JUMP-OFF, I know this and BIG knew this. I wasn’t even able to choose who I wanted to portray me in this movie. I would have never picked Naturi, she doesn’t have a Lil Kim aura at all! She looks nothing like I looked back then. We have NO similarities. Watching her on-screen was so “dreadful” as Simon Cowell would say. She is tasteless and talentless. Never once did she contact me for input or to get a feel of me for the character. A “TRUE” actress would contact the source to be the best they can be in portaying someone. That told me right there, she wasn’t right for the part and not to mention, Naturi has got to be one of THE worst actresses I’ve ever seen and I can’t believe they chose her. I really can’t!

Another thing is, I have been dealing with legal matters as far as them not wanting to pay me and sh*t for this movie, got a lawyer involved, so everything is cool with that, but it still doesn’t change my views and feelings. This is truly Faith and Ms. Wallace’s movie. And Ms. Wallace is right, this isn’t a Lil’ Kim movie and it’s not about me. I didn’t want it to be about me, I wanted it to be REAL though. And that it is NOT. I take no part in this movie and have nothing to do with it. I love BIG and will never stop reppin him. There is NOTHING anyone can do about it. The world will see the Lil Kim story, THE REAL ME! Not some made up bullshit portrayed by a talentless has-been back up singer

TGIF!

Good morning! I know I'm up pretty early this morning. I'm so glad it's friday. TGIF. I woke up early this morning for my usual morning bathroom break ( lol you know we all wake up in the am and first thing is head to the bathroom) When I got back in bed I looked at my phone to make sure my alarm was still on and ready ( b/c I know I would have slept right threw it..lol) . As I was looking down I noticed my phone said I had an email. I checked my email and I saw that I received an email from one of the grad schools I applied for. Yay, I felt so good inside immediately! So they want me to interview with them and they seem interested, but the hard part is its on the WEST coast, so now I need to strategize and figure out when I will be able to get there. I'm so happy right now..I'm wearing a KOOL AID SMILE! All my efforts and hard work are paying off. I'm thankful to GOD to hear back from this school. Well, that's my personal testimony for today. I hope you enjoy my spill today and have a PROMISING AND HAPPY FRIDAY!


NASHVILLE VOTES

FIRST OFF I NOTICED the voting results for English first. According to CNN, all 173 precincts reporting, 41,752 voters, or nearly 57 percent, voted against the proposed amendment, with 32,144 voters supporting it, according to unofficial results posted on the Nashville city government Web site. How do you feel about these results? Do you think we should have English first or do you feel like we should cater to all other languages?



A NEW LADY IN THE SENATE



It's good to see another woman taking over the NY SENATE seat that once belonged to Hillary Clinton, her name is Kirsten Gillibrand and she represents the Democratic party as well. She was appointed by New York Gov. David Paterson. I'm still waiting to hear why the favorite Caroline Kennedy backed down from the position.




OBAMA 3,350 PHONE APPROVED

OKAY SO have you heard all the big talk about whether Obama should have a Blackberry with all the security concerns. Well, he has been granted his wish despite all the concerns of White House officials. I guess Obama is a technology guy just like the rest of us whom love our smartphones.

SUPER BOWL TIME

I know I have stayed away from football for quite some time now...but I'm back on it today. I want to give made props to the Arizona Cardinals and Pittsburgh Steelers for fighting their hearts out to make it to Super Bowl XLIII in Tampa, FL. It will be interesting to see who wins.. I guess I'm go ride with the Steelers this time even though the Titans did beat them. I will look forward to seeing Jennifer Hudson sing the National Athem. But I don't know if I will be looking forward to the halftime show though..I hear Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band will be performing. Who are you going for in the Super Bowl?


BUN B TO RELEASE ANOTHER ALBUM for PIMP C




BUN B has revealed another last album is in the line up for UGK in honor of his late rhyming partner Pimp C. It is called For Live and it is set to be released on March 31,2009 under Jive Records. The first single is titled, "The Game Been Good to Me." It' been playing on major radio stations..so for us here in Nashville that probably sets us back till end of February. ( I'm just being 100..we always get turned on to songs on the late tip here.) Word is it will have around 12 tracks. I KNOW THIS IS GO BE A CLASSIC! What you think?

A RETAKE, OSCARS, AND OREILLY STRIKES AGAIN...

RETAKE...Hey everyone sorry I'm delivering my blog to you kinda of late today...but just like OBAMA HAD TO REDO HIS OATH TODAY..I WITNESSED MY FIRST BLOG MALFUNCTION and had to go back and fix it. On a good note, I put in my work today and managed to get by with a smile on my face and loads of laughs. Now, I just got home from voting on the BIG TALK OF THE TOWN IN TN WHETHER OR NOT ENGLISH SHOULD BE FIRST..well I would love to hear your thoughts on this topic? ( I can't wait to see the results from this vote..) and my other blog topics today, speaking of which I need more input from the readers.

OSCAR NOMINATIONS REVEALED

Today the Oscar nominations were revealed and there were some obvious nominations like Brad Pitt's nomination in a leading role  and Taraji Henson for supporting role in  the wonderful story told in , The Curious Case of Benjamin Button,  Heath Ledger for best supporting role in  The Dark Knight and Angelina Jolie for Changeling.  On the other hand, 10 major nominations were surprisingly delivered to the cast and director of Slumdog Millionaire on the TODAY SHOW.  If your curious about all the nominations  click here.

I definitely think Taraji Henson deserves an Oscar for her role in Benjamin Button and I  PRAY and hope the Oscar committee makes the right decision. ( They better not rob my girl! )

OBAMA RETAKES OATH

Obama redid the oath today, after a first go round  where  the messenger "Chief Justice Roberts", delivered the oath all wrong fumbling over words.  OBAMA once again stepped up to the plate and PROVES he is the BIG MAN on campus by  allowing him to adminster the oath again.  You may be asking when did this happen? It was yesterday at 7:35 pm  in the White House Map Room.  You can compare both oaths here.

AT LAST! Man Today was a great day..and I'm thankful to GOD that I was here to live through history. It is still sinking in for me that PRESIDENT BARACK is here and ready to make changes so that we can better our nation and grow as Americans. IT's like a dream come true..AT LAST! I can't help but wish and reflect on my great grandma, Dr. King, Malcolm X and those loved ones who are not here,that paved the way so we could be here today. Can you imagine if Tupac was still here what he would say?.."Yes NOW WE ARE READY TO HAVE A BLACK PRESIDENT!" As Biggie once, said The "Sky is the Limit." As a young,ambitious, strong,intelligent African-American woman I can say Obama has truly encouraged and inspired me to dig deep within myself and by any means necessary GO GET MY DREAMS! I will be a famous writer and YOU WILL SEE MY NAME IN EBONY MAGAZINE!(You heard it here first and remember this blog!)

I already know God has instilled a great deal inside of me and he is ordering my steps to do what I was made to here on Earth. In fact, just Monday on MLK day I made some moves to start writing for a magazine on the music tip. I can't give you all the details right now, but I can say BE ON THE LOOKOUT FOR STYLISTAKT because I'm making moves. Well, that is my testimony for today..(LOL YOU KNOW I HAVE TO GET IT IN FROM TIME TO TIME) Let's get the ball rolling...

Well I guess if you watched the news today or took the time to read online newspapers, CHANGE is already coming to the White House. Obama issued new limits on lobbyists in his White House and a freeze on salaries of high-paid aides, in a effort to repair the country's economic turmoil (THANKS BUSH!. This will affect those with high-profile jobs as White House chief of staff, national security adviser and press secretary.

The rule of thumb will be as follows: (Taken from AJC) Obama's new lobbying rules will not only ban aides from trying to influence the administration when they leave his staff. Those already hired will be banned from working on matters they have previously lobbied on, or to approach agencies that they once targeted.
The rules also ban lobbyists from giving gifts of any size to any member of his administration. Obama is showing us that in order to fix the problem you have START AT HOME..What are your thoughts on this? ( I'm ready to hear your feedback...)

KENNEDY IS GOOD!

I'm happy to see that Sen. Edward M. Kennedy is doing well after experiencing a seizure yesterday while at the Obama luncheon yesterday. Kennedy's office confirmed left the Washington Hospital Center, where he stayed overnight for observation, and was resting at home. Kennedy has been under treatment for a brain tumor since last spring according to AJC.com. ( I wish you a healthy and speedy recovery MR. Kennedy!)

Watch this interview with Michelle Obama's designer Jason Wu..one things for sure he will be rolling into more dough by handmaking the First Lady's gown..It was elegant and it reminded me of Jackie Kennedy's ensemble back in the day..what did you think?

MICHELLE'S STYLIST IS IN THE BIG LEAGUES..

Well word has that Michelle Obama's stylist Johnny Wright, (who is also a stylist for Vivica Fox,Rebecca Gayheart and "Sex & the City" writer Candace Bushnell) has landed himself a reality series through 44 Blue production company. It will be like a makeover type show. Can we say Split Ends?..that's what I'm thiking it will be more along the lines of. I just hope he can spin it to where it's something new and refreshing to watch..

Today was another big day for history as Hillary Clinton won her final approval for Secretary of State in 94 to 2 vote. It's so great to see a woman stepping up to take on this role and she has the credentials after serving 8 years on the Senate. Go Hillary! She will officially take up her new job as Secretary of State with a welcoming ceremony for her on Thursday at the State Department.

I knew it would only be a matter of time before 32 year old model/entrepreneur Kimora Lee Simmons and her famed 43 year old boyfriend Djimon Hounsou best known for his role in BLOOD DIAMONDS went half on a baby. I just wonder if the new addition, we call for a season three of The Fabolous Life of Kimora Lee Simmons? ( I'm crossing my fingers and hoping so) I can just imagine her two daughters by Simmons now..they will definitely be in full effect and trying to run things for the baby. My next thought, I know your all wondering is will she try to start a New Baby Phat line for newborns?! Only time will tell..stay on the lookout. All the best to Kimora and Djimon with the baby!

I'm saddened to deliver this news to you, but did you know that William Balfour,( Jennifer Hudson's sister crazy ex husband) has plead NOT GUILTY! WTF..I mean it was so sad hearing this happened to the HUDSON family and now this idiot is trying to lie about his terrible acts of violence. RIDICULOUS! I don't know about you guys, but I hope he FRIES in the electric chair. Balfour is currently incarcerated and is due back in court January 27, 2009. Curious to know your thoughts on this especially..what do you think they should do with this Nutcase?

MY PRESIDENT IS BLACK...ON THIS DAY JANUARY 20,2009 I CAN SAY I'M TRULY BLESSED TO SEE OUR 44TH PRESIDENT BARACK HUSSEIN OBAMA make history as the FIRST AFRICAN AMERICAN AND FIFTH YOUNGEST PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES! As I sit here, glued to the TV embracing this moment with family and being a witness to one of the greatest days in AMERICAN HISTORY.. I rest assured that YES WE CAN! be whomever we want to be and have what we are destined to have in life as African Americans. I WILL BE WHAT I'M DESTINED TO BE AND HAVE WHAT GOD SAYS I CAN HAVE! I think about all the steps that were ordered from our ancestors, Dr. King, and other major civil rights leaders/activists to allow us to see this glorious time.

I'm grateful GOD delivered President Obama to us and molded him into the beautiful mosaic he is today. In honor, of the inaguration I declare today OBAMA DAY on my blog..so the movement is ALL ABOUT BARACK OBAMA AND THIS historical day! I HOPE I CAN HELP THOSE OF YOU WHO MAY HAVE MISSED OUT..

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DR. KING!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DR.MARTIN LUTHER KING JR.!!! It's hard to believe Dr. King if alive today he would have been 80 years old. We HONOR him today and I personally want to say THANK GOD FOR PRODUCING SUCH AN ACCOMPLISHMENT AND delivering him to us. Can you imagine what the world would be like if we never had Dr. King? There would be no intergrated school systems, eating with whites, or even using the same restroom. When I think back to all the sacrifices, challenges, and pain he may have faced... it's hard to believe he remained so positive. ( I mean think about all the times he may have been called out of his name, hit, or taken away from his family when he was locked up for voicing his opinons.)

He truly made a difference back then and still is impacting our lives today. Presently, I feel as though he lives in each African American today.. WE ALL HAVE DREAMS AND IT IS UP TO EACH OF US TO WORK EARNESTLY AND WHOLE HEARTEDLY AT OBTAINING THEM BY HOLDING OURSELVES ACCOUNTABLE. Think about it, OBAMA is our present day testimony that "We Shall Overcome" all the negativity is this cold crazy world and RISE TO THE OCCASSION to continue to make moves in America. We all HAVE A DREAM..NOW LET'S GET IT AND TACKLE THAT DREAM HEAD ON! YES WE CAN AND WE WILL!

Reina Hardesty a 13 year old Southern California teen LOVES TO TEXT MSG. Recently, on Inside Edition it was reported she set a record for text messaging in a month with a total 14,528 text messages and 440 pages for the bill. (Wow! This is crazy to think a 13 year old texts this much..I mean why isn't she devoting this time to school or extra-curricular activities) My first question here is WHY DOES A 13 YEAR OLD NEED A CELL PHONE? My how the tables have turned, I was not thinking about a phone when I was 13. I didn't get my first cell phone until I was heading to college and I was 18. That makes me fear when I have children.

EMPOWERMENT!!!

Rise and Shine everyone! It's Sunday and you know StylistaKT had to go and get her praise on. I went to 9:30am service at Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Nashville, TN. It is my home church and has been since I joined when I was 16. There's nothing like a good message and motivation from God through the great spirit of Bishop Joseph Walker III to get my week started off right. Is it just me or does it feel like he's talking directly to me when he delivers his sermon?

Well today, the message was "NO"!!! Yes, literally the word NO. ( See James 4:7) He talked about how our lives can change in 3 seconds when we make the wrong decision in not saying "NO"..it seems like "No" would be something so easy to interpret, but in certain life situations we all wish we would have said "NO" and made the right choice. Growing up, I recall in school hearing the message "Just say No".. I imagine sometimes if I followed my intuition first on some things and made the decision to say NO!!! that I would be in a better situation in my present days. I'm thankful to GOD though because he has TRULY BROUGHT ME A LONG WAY!

All I'm saying is, think about the next time you are told to go somewhere and do something that you really have no business doing anyway ..JUST SAY NO!..OR THE next time your BOO wants you to do something that sounds absolutely ridiculous JUST THINK BACK TO WHAT MY BISHOP ADVISED ME IN CHURCH TODAY SAY: No, Neen, hECK TO THE NALL, Hood Nahhhl!..then you save yourself the dissappointment and consequences for your stupid actions. Or ask yourself is it really worth it? Well that's my sermon for today. I'm done with that..but I wanna share another clip of my Bishop Walker to empower you today. A STELLAR SATURDAY...

I woke up this Saturday morning bright and early for me yet again, round 8:30 a.m( after a wake up call), after another chilly night where it was unbearable for me to be owt. I just slept in and decided to catch me some dreams . So This Stellar Saturday..I'm ready to get up, get owt, and do something. I know there's some entertainment in town here for the Stella Awards, but without a ticket that really doesn't get me anywhere... then there's always the movies... I do want to see Notorious..and I was invited to a friend's surprise party...OR I could always just hit the road...at any rate TODAY is A STELLAR day and I encourage everybody to read my scoop today and then go do something out of the NORM ( I always try to think outside the box and try new things)

JERMAINE DUPRI LEAVES DEF JAM

Jermaine Dupri is owt for good with Def Jam. In a recent Essence interview, Dupri said he was leaving because, "It was a situation where it felt very stagnant to me. As a person who is used to putting out new records and continuing to do that, it just wasn’t turning over as being that place to me where I should stick to it and see if it was going to turn around."

I think it may have had something to do with Janet. I mean what man is going to stand behind a company that talked down on his woman and let her go. Well whatever the real reason is, I wish Jermaine Dupri the best in all endeavors because he is definitely a hit maker and down to earth cat. I actually meet him last year at his new club Studio 72 during my Birthday Extravaganza.

Okay so I know everyone knows about the foul mouthed and abusive leading model Naomi Campbell's troubles with her former housemaid. Well, they finally reached a settlement that allowed Naomi to walk away and but a smile on Gaby Gibson 's (former housemaid) face. Recall, this case was all brought on when Campbell reportedly beat her with a cell phone, verbal abused her, and accussed of her of stealing a pair of jeans. Wow! I mean come on how many pairs of jeans does Naomi have? She is a FOOL! Yes, I said it a fool for abusing someone over some jeans when she can simply just order another pair at the drop of a hat. I hope she learned her lesson this time and she stays away from her housemaids to come.
