WHO WILL WIN?

It's a beautiful warm sunny first day of February. This month is Black History Month (yes!!! love it!), MONTH OF LOVE , and today is SUPER BOWL SUNDAY! I LOVE IT! You know I had to start it off right this morning by going to get my word from GOD through Bishop Walker. As I was riding to church, I was happy to hear that our very own Bishop Joseph Warren Walker, III received the award of BEST streamline video show. Congratulations Bishop! CLICK HERE TO SEE VIDEO


That says a lot b/c it was voted on by the people and that means nationwide not just here in Nashville. My Bishop is no Joke. Today the word was about SERVING YOUR PURPOSE IN LIFE. I know I am working hard to get where I need to be in my life on every level.It is a challenge, but I know God is ordering my path to have some GREAT THINGS all the way around the board in my life. A little of what I got out of service today that I would like to share with you is:

SCRIPTURE REFERENCES: Romans 8:28; John 3:16; Romans 5:1; 8:1

Purpose is in the mind of the maker..God turns negatives into positive to get you positioned. God allows you to go through to shift you i another position. ( I feel like God is shifting me right now as we speak)

" You don't chose purpose, it chooses you."
Things you should do to get in purpose with GOD are:
Have a RELATIONSHIP with him..God's love must be reciprocated and you must have OBEDIENCE meaning learn the power of spending time with him. BISHOP said, "Love God like you love your Boo." That's real b/c think about it if you put as much time and energy into GOD as you do your so called relationships then we would all be a lot better off today.

Another great example, Bishop used was this simple question " What if we compared God's word(Bible) to your cell phone?"

He then went on by saying, " You would take the Bible everywhere with you, keep it in your purse, give to your kids as a gift, if you left it at home and were 20 mi away you would turn back around and go back to get it." ( HUSH Truth that was real ..what's your take on it?) Well that's my word for today now on to the Super Bowl:


YAY! TODAY IS THE BIG DAY THE SUPER BOWL IS GOING DOWN... Starting at 5:00pm on NBC. In addition, you can catch the pre game coverage all day today. Yesterday, there were plenty of pre-game activities going on in Tampa, FL. I wish I could be there with all the action. I'm sure my friend will fill me in when she gets back and supply the photos. I'M GOING FOR STEELERS NOW JUST SO YOU KNOW SO IF ANYBODY WANT TO PLACE A WAGER AND LOSE SOME MONEY HIT ME UP...Well anyway, here is some sports action for you today...

Well you know one thing I'm not going to leave out that I LOVE TO DO EAT!!! THOSE WHO KNOW ME Know this is top on my list. I came across this recipe in case you see this ahead of time or if you want to try some other time.. sounds mouthwatering' Coca-Cola Wings CLICK HERE FOR MORE RECIPES COURTESY OF AJC.

COCA COLA WINGS

Ingredients:
1 cup Coca-Cola
Juice of 2 limes
1 1/2 cups light brown sugar, firmly packed
3 jalapeno peppers, chopped
3 pounds chicken wings (12 to 14)
Coarse salt and freshly ground black pepper
2 jalapeno peppers, sliced, for garnish
Instructions:
In a small saucepan over high heat, bring Coca-Cola, lime juice, brown sugar and chopped jalapeno peppers to a boil; reduce heat to medium-low and simmer until syrupy, about 10 minutes.
Cut off the chicken wing tips, reserving for another use, and halve chicken wings at the joint. Place the halved wings in a large bowl. Season with salt and pepper. Pour about half the sauce over the wings and toss to coat. Keep the remaining sauce warm in the small saucepan.
Place the oven rack 4 inches below the broiler. Heat the oven to broil 30 minutes before cooking. Line a rimmed baking sheet with aluminum foil. Place an ovenproof rack on the lined baking sheet.
Place the glazed wings on the prepared baking sheet. Transfer the wings to the oven and broil for 10 minutes per side, brushing with the reserved glaze every 5 minutes. Transfer to a heated platter, garnish with the sliced jalapeno peppers and serve immediately.

AT LAST!!!

AT LAST! Man Today was a great day..and I'm thankful to GOD that I was here to live through history. It is still sinking in for me that PRESIDENT BARACK is here and ready to make changes so that we can better our nation and grow as Americans. IT's like a dream come true..AT LAST! I can't help but wish and reflect on my great grandma, Dr. King, Malcolm X and those loved ones who are not here,that paved the way so we could be here today. Can you imagine if Tupac was still here what he would say?.."Yes NOW WE ARE READY TO HAVE A BLACK PRESIDENT!" As Biggie once, said The "Sky is the Limit." As a young,ambitious, strong,intelligent African-American woman I can say Obama has truly encouraged and inspired me to dig deep within myself and by any means necessary GO GET MY DREAMS! I will be a famous writer and YOU WILL SEE MY NAME IN EBONY MAGAZINE!(You heard it here first and remember this blog!)

I already know God has instilled a great deal inside of me and he is ordering my steps to do what I was made to here on Earth. In fact, just Monday on MLK day I made some moves to start writing for a magazine on the music tip. I can't give you all the details right now, but I can say BE ON THE LOOKOUT FOR STYLISTAKT because I'm making moves. Well, that is my testimony for today..(LOL YOU KNOW I HAVE TO GET IT IN FROM TIME TO TIME) Let's get the ball rolling...


AT LAST the highly anticipated FIRST Dance took place at the Neighborhood Ball..this was so beautiful it made me wanna cry. I can't wait to have my first dance one day..lol..anyhow take a look..

OBAMA MAKES MOVES

Well I guess if you watched the news today or took the time to read online newspapers, CHANGE is already coming to the White House. Obama issued new limits on lobbyists in his White House and a freeze on salaries of high-paid aides, in a effort to repair the country's economic turmoil (THANKS BUSH!. This will affect those with high-profile jobs as White House chief of staff, national security adviser and press secretary.

The rule of thumb will be as follows: (Taken from AJC) Obama's new lobbying rules will not only ban aides from trying to influence the administration when they leave his staff. Those already hired will be banned from working on matters they have previously lobbied on, or to approach agencies that they once targeted.
The rules also ban lobbyists from giving gifts of any size to any member of his administration. Obama is showing us that in order to fix the problem you have START AT HOME..What are your thoughts on this? ( I'm ready to hear your feedback...)

KENNEDY IS GOOD!

I'm happy to see that Sen. Edward M. Kennedy is doing well after experiencing a seizure yesterday while at the Obama luncheon yesterday. Kennedy's office confirmed left the Washington Hospital Center, where he stayed overnight for observation, and was resting at home. Kennedy has been under treatment for a brain tumor since last spring according to AJC.com. ( I wish you a healthy and speedy recovery MR. Kennedy!)

Watch this interview with Michelle Obama's designer Jason Wu..one things for sure he will be rolling into more dough by handmaking the First Lady's gown..It was elegant and it reminded me of Jackie Kennedy's ensemble back in the day..what did you think?

MICHELLE'S STYLIST IS IN THE BIG LEAGUES..

Well word has that Michelle Obama's stylist Johnny Wright, (who is also a stylist for Vivica Fox,Rebecca Gayheart and "Sex & the City" writer Candace Bushnell) has landed himself a reality series through 44 Blue production company. It will be like a makeover type show. Can we say Split Ends?..that's what I'm thiking it will be more along the lines of. I just hope he can spin it to where it's something new and refreshing to watch..



IT'S OFFICIAL LIKE A WHISTLE..

Today was another big day for history as Hillary Clinton won her final approval for Secretary of State in 94 to 2 vote. It's so great to see a woman stepping up to take on this role and she has the credentials after serving 8 years on the Senate. Go Hillary! She will officially take up her new job as Secretary of State with a welcoming ceremony for her on Thursday at the State Department.



KIMORA BABY PHAT( RUMOR OR TRUTH!)



I knew it would only be a matter of time before 32 year old model/entrepreneur Kimora Lee Simmons and her famed 43 year old boyfriend Djimon Hounsou best known for his role in BLOOD DIAMONDS went half on a baby. I just wonder if the new addition, we call for a season three of The Fabolous Life of Kimora Lee Simmons? ( I'm crossing my fingers and hoping so) I can just imagine her two daughters by Simmons now..they will definitely be in full effect and trying to run things for the baby. My next thought, I know your all wondering is will she try to start a New Baby Phat line for newborns?! Only time will tell..stay on the lookout. All the best to Kimora and Djimon with the baby!

I'm saddened to deliver this news to you, but did you know that William Balfour,( Jennifer Hudson's sister crazy ex husband) has plead NOT GUILTY! WTF..I mean it was so sad hearing this happened to the HUDSON family and now this idiot is trying to lie about his terrible acts of violence. RIDICULOUS! I don't know about you guys, but I hope he FRIES in the electric chair. Balfour is currently incarcerated and is due back in court January 27, 2009. Curious to know your thoughts on this especially..what do you think they should do with this Nutcase?
