A LEGEND TO REMEMBER
I'm here sorry I'm late, but you know a sister had to work today. I learned this evening, that a great journalist passed yesterday Mr. Robert Churchwell. He was a great inspiration for us writers here in Nashville and his light will continue to shine.
On a lighter note I would like to say congratulations to the Pittsburgh Steelers! They did their thang last night. That was one of the best Super Bowl games to watch in some years. Jennifer Hudson delivered the National Anthem click here to see it. She truly has a gift from GOD with her voice. I know there's much to talk about so let's get down to business.

Henry Blair (1807 - 1860), the second African-American to receive a patent, invented a corn seed planter in 1834 and a cotton planter in 1836. Blair could not read or write and signed his patent with an X.
Journalist Robert Churchwell
The historical Nashville journalist Robert Churchwell died Sunday morning at the age of 91. He was the first African-American journalist a Southern white owned newspaper. He nicknamed himself, "the Jackie Robinson of journalism." In 1950, he began his career at the Nashville Banner newspaper community and education writer. He served there for 31 years and decided to retire in 1981. He will be missed but his history will not be forgotten..I'm thankful to GOD for allowing Mr. Churchwell to pave the way for aspiring journalists such as myself. He is truly a legend and will not be forgotten.

In addition, today was Groundhog day and he saw shadow so that means YES! YOU GUESSED IT 6 MORE WEEKS OF WINTER. Sigh more snow and colds .. I'm ready for some warm weather for sure.
