IT'S THE LAST DAY OF MARCH..my my my how time truly flies by. I for one know time waits for no one. I have spent a lot of time in deep thought here lately trying to strategize ways to make more money with this messed up economy we are facing right now. Right now a sister really needs to be on her grand hustle..so I apologize to my close friends or those in my inner circle who may want to go out and kick it..while I'm trying to get mine. IT IS TRULY A SAD DAY IN THE WORLD OF JOURNALISM AND WRITERS LIKE MYSELF..I FOUND OUT TODAY THAT CHICAGO SUN TIMES HAS FILED FOR BANKRUPTCY..YES CHAPTER 11 FOLKS...I DON'T know what's going to happen with the industry seems like every time I turn around we are losing more outlets of voice... First it was the Denver paper now this.

This actually includes the LA Times as well .. here's a word from some big whig

LIGHTS OUT!

OKAY SO Today is Saturday and more important today is Earth Hour. What is Earth Hour you may be asking? It is an hour STARTING AT 8:30 PM to save and conserve energy and act on helping better our climate and GOING GREEN to save our planet. I mean think about all the chemicals, toxins, and gas we push out into the world on the regular.. imagine if we took time to cut off the lights an hour out of each month how much that could make a difference with our planet. Now I for one, am not the GO GREEN consultant or ACTIVIST..but if there are little things that I can help do to better the world right here starting with me and each of you we should be willing if we want to be ALIVE. lol.. Well that's my spill on that.. So moving on to my next thoughts it wouldn't be right if I didn't mention Clifford Harris.






CLIFFORD HARRIS better known to the world as "TI" or "TIP" went to jail yesterday. He has been in my thoughts and prayers a lot here lately. After being exposed to his show on MTV, "TI's Road to Redemption", I could honestly see another side of him and understand why he actually did what he did. I'm not here to validate that it was the right thing, but all I'm saying is listen to his story ..if you don't have Paper Trail ..you sleeping on it and you need to go listen to "Ready for Whatevea" ... b/c he's saying a lot.. Put yourself in his position your an entertainer and favorite rapper in the game and everyone is trying to get at you and through drama your way on the regular. Your best friend gets killed right before your very eyes after you just left hanging out and celebrating good times. ( I know we have all been there) Next, thing you know you got an altercation as you leaving the club ( Been there done that) and Ti and his crew are leaving and the enemy is steady more trying to come at TI'S crew and kill them. Man down that quick and sadly in this case it was Ti's best friend Big Phil.

So after this, your spooked and having to watch your back when you right hand man from grade school up is gunned down right in front you and you watch this man take his last breathe. This was so sad and I know how it feels to lose someone close and dear to you. I lost my cousin Brittany in a crazy TRIPLE murder case here in Nashville...so I truly believe you "LIVE AND LEARN"... Back to TIP I'm not saying he wasn't in the wrong all I'm saying is if your a celebrity who has been through a troubled upbringing and been to jail in the past and seen a lot of things in your lifetime and you trying to provide for your family and keep making strides as an entertainer its 10 times harder to feel safe AND NOT WORRY ABOUT THAT ONE PERSON COMING AFTER YOU to harm you or your family! He felt as though his life was in jeopardy and I think if anyone could be in his shoes then 9 times out of 10 they would have done the same thing... In addition, I must say that I felt like it was unloyal for his bodyguard at the time to rat him out.. I What's your take on Ti going to jail? My man IS DEFINITELY GOING TO BE MISSED AND WILL BE KEEPING HIM IN MY THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS!

A LAWYER STABBED 38 TIMES..

WOW ..THIS IS SO CRAZY.. I just came across this story on CNN this 38 year old lawyer was presumed to be murdered by her husband and was stabbed 38 times.. This 34 year old woman Chiquita Tate was found killed in her Louisiana law office on February 20. They say that she loved law so much she had a justice tattoo on her back. This is so sad she was at the peak of her career. It seems as though there are a lot of cases like this especially here in TN where the successful woman is in her prime and fulfilling her roles and desires in life and then a MAN takes it away from her b/c he can't bear the thought of losing her or for other reasons I'm unaware of ... but what do you think about this ? NATURAL DISTURBIA

Hey everybody! I know I have been absence for quite some time now..just had a lot of things going on with me lately. I'm going through the motions this week and facing a hair dilemma..trying to figure out what I want to do with my hair lately..Natural or Perm..I have had Perm since I was little one ...I like my hair to be straight and glam at all times when necessary, however I have been trying this natural thing..but I don't know if I will survive it and run back to my perm. At any rate, I had my hair done over the weekend, it was nice sew in curly..however Sunday night it was itching so bad and hurting me that I didn't sleep good. Monday night was the last straw for me I tried to spray my hair down and grease my scalp, but I felt like my hair was on fire..so of COURSE I HAD TO TAKE IT DOWN! NOW I'm dealing with my hair again and trying to decide what to do next.. I have been rocking my hats this week..until I figure out the next thing I wanna do with my hair.. but anyhow enough about that let's get on to the blog...

HI EVERYONE I HOPE YOUR HAVING A GOOD HUMP DAY! I HAVE BEEN BUSY ENJOYING THE BEAUTIFUL WARM WEATHER GOD PROVIDED TO US HERE IN NASHVILLE MONDAY AND TUESDAY. I started working out hard Monday and I hope to see some results soon. Today, has been pretty regular for the most part, besides my sinus headache I have been having since work earlier. I finished my first story for a new coming magazine that I'm music writer for and I hope to reveal it to you soon enough. Okay so this morning, as I was getting ready for work I did notice and think to myself there have been a lot of killing sprees going on around the world lately...what's really going on? Did you hear about that preacher that was gunned down inside his church in Missouri ( so :( sad) I can' t imagine how crazy that would be to sit in church and watch your pastor die. So I know you have all heard about this crazy guy that went on a killing spree in Alabama.. he killed his mother, aunts, grandparents, and so many other families before killing himself. It's so crazy out here and then not to mention all the violence throughout the country. POINTLESS.. I'm tired of hearing abot all these unnecessary deaths. So heartless, selfish, and ignorant on the killers part.





Moving on to the main topic of discussion on every front... I heard on Steve Harvey Show this morning they were discussing Rihanna's situation and giving information on DOMESTIC ABUSE and a number you could call. It's like this story is the talk of the world now... I mean CNN IS RUNNING SPECIAL SHOWS LEFT AND RIGHT, OPRAH OFFERED HER FEELINGS YESTERDAY AND SHE PLANS TO RUN A SHOW ON DOMESTIC ABUSE, THEN AS I'M HOME FLIPPING CHANNELS i see on BET THAT ROCSI AND TERRANCE PLAN TO HAVE A SPECIAL SHOW ON ABUSE IN RELATIONSHIPS. I also have been following this ..I read on Inside Edition that Rihanna's father has really had no contact with his daughter...she sent him a text message saying she missed him.

I know that has to be hard on the father..I hear she's literally shut out her whole family. I mean she really needs to go to her family on this one in my eyes. I agree with Oprah and Essence editor who said if he hits you once he will definitely hit you again. It's saddening to see that she ran back to him so quickly and easily.. they are actually working on a song together in the studio. There are even rumors that they have book deal and plan to go on tour and talk about domestic violence....WOW THAT WOULD BE CRAZY?! WELL ANY RATE I COULD GO ON AND ON ON THIS SO HERE WE GO...

WANNA BE FIT?!!

OKAY, SO I HAVE STARTED OFFICALLY PREPARING MYSELF TO LOSE A COUPLE OF LBS AND BE READY FOR MY LINE SISTER'S WEDDING AND TO FIT MY DRESS :)..NOT TO MENTION GET READY FOR MY BDAY! I'M THINKING MAYBE I WILL TAKE ME A BEACH TRIP SOMETIME IN MAY TO CELEBRATE MY BDAY..WHO KNOWS.. TODAY WAS A GOOD DAY OVERRALL..the weather was nice and breezy. I know b/c I actually worked out at the park today after I did my time at work. I can already see it's going to be tuff for me to lose these few lbs...because I love Breads, Sweets,and French Fries.. Deadly combo! I'm definitely going to have to watch what I eat more and cut back. I guess that saying you are what you eat is soo true..well on that note let's get it started...

I knew it would only be a matter of time before Halle had her own fragrance.. I mean she has been Revlon Queen for the longest. She says it took her 2 years to come up with her signature scent. The top notes of the scent are Sicilian bergamot, fig leaves and pear blossom. It also contains notes from freesia petals, hibiscus flowers and mimosa. The fragance is set to hit stores this Spring..so ladies look out for it in the stores..I 'm waiting to get it.

Okay so it's almost the weekend, and I for one can not wait. It has been a long day. A lot of things have went down today. I"m tired and in need of a vacation. I had some good news today..I'm performing well at work so hopefully things will line up quickly for me, so I can be rolling in the dough.



So today was the first day for court in the Rihanna and Chris Brown ordeal hear's what's going on that we know for fact right about now the fight started from a text message that Rihanna saw in Brown's phone. OKAY SO ALSO WE SHOULD NOTE THESE FACTS JUST IN ..RIHANNA'S LAWYER HAS OPTED FOR THEM TO HAVE CONTACT DURING THE TRIAL AND BROWN'S ARRAIGNMENT IS SET FOR APRIL 6 , 2009. ALSO, RIHANNA IS WILLING TO TESTIFY IF NECESSARY THIS COMES FROM HER ATTORNEY DONALD ETRA...WHAT'S YOUR TAKE ON THIS NOW THAT WE KNOW THE FULL REAL STORY?!

Schuyler told investigators that about two to four hours after their boat flipped in rough seas, one of the two National Football League players on board gave up hope and let himself be swept away, according to relatives briefed by the Coast Guard.

A few hours later, the second one did the same.

"We were told that Nick said the two NFL players took their life jackets off and drifted out to sea," said Bob Bleakley, whose son Will, 25, a former University of South Florida football player, is also still missing.

With former Tampa Bay Buccaneers Marquis Cooper, 26, and Corey Smith, 29, gone, only Schuyler and Will Bleakley remained clinging to the boat.

Then, sometime early Monday, Will Bleakley thought he saw a light in the distance. He decided to take off his life jacket and swim to it, hoping to get help, Bob Bleakley said Schuyler told the investigators.

1. Regardless of how long you’ve been together, you still need to maintain a sense of surprise. Says Obama, "Sometimes, when we’re lying together, I look at her and I feel dizzy with the realization that here is another distinct person from me, who has memories, origins, thoughts, feelings that are different from my own. That tension between familiarity and mystery meshes something strong between us. Even if one builds a life together based on trust, attentiveness and mutual support, I think that’s it’s important that a partner continues to surprise."

The president couldn’t have said it better. Marriages are built on a foundation of responsibility, dependability and predictability. But sexual attraction is based on spontaneity, unpredictability and, to Obama’s point, a little mystery. Reconciling those two opposite poles-- familiarity and mystery -- is one of the biggest challenges a couple faces and it starts with cultivating a sense of newness and surprise.

2. Show a little tenderness. Says the president of the first lady, "If you look deep into her eyes, there's a certain vulnerability." I don’t know about you, but I’ve definitely observed during their interviews together that they do make a lot of eye contact with each other, and I have no doubt he has spent much time looking deep into her eyes. Non-physical intimacy outside the bedroom is key to a loving, intimate sex life and it’s refreshing to have a first couple who is so comfortable kissing, dancing, cuddling and holding hands.

3. Opposites attract. Says Obama: “Michelle’s family life was different, very stable with two parents, a stay-at-home mom, a brother, a dog, that kind of thing. They’ve lived in the same house all their lives…a part of me was wondering what a strong, reassuring family life would look like while Michelle in a way, wanted to break from that model.”

Opposites often do attract, and very often couples are drawn to each other when they indeed come from opposite backgrounds. In many ways becoming a couple is about our individual search for growth and balance.

4. Stay friends. Says Michelle, “Our relationship was first a friendship. It took off from there." In a long-term relationship it’s often a challenge to stay friends with your partner and to keep your friendship expanding. And in today’s world of social networking and Facebook, we’re often so busy “friending” others that we lose precious opportunities to strengthen our friendship with our spouse.

5. Be a relationship role-model. Says the president: "What concerns me the most are children and the way they are treated." Of course he’s talking about social issues facing families – poverty, education, absent parents – but it’s also important to remember that one of the greatest gifts you can give your children is to be happy adults. And that comes down to your relationship to each other. It’s no surprise that the Obama children beam with life. They have happy parents who aren’t afraid to show their love to each other. And that love is contagious.

OKAY SO TODAY IS FAT TUESDAY...IT HAS BEEN A PRETTY PRODUCTIVE DAY THUS FAR. I came home this evening and for the first time decided to do my own taxes opposed to going to my church.It has been a pretty easy ride so far so good..but I do want to double check myself so I'm thinking of taking it to a professional, because the last thing I need is for them to charge me for filing anything wrong. WEll let's get it started ..



ON A SERIOUS NOTE THEY HAVE STILL NOT FOUND THE REMAINING 3 WHO WERE MISSING FROM THE FISHING TRIP IN FLORIDA. MY PRAYERS ARE WITH THEIR FAMILIES. THIS IS SO DEVASTATING...CAN'T IMAGINE WHAT THE FAMILIES ARE GOING THROUGH. WORD IS THEY STOPPED THE SEARCH AT SUNSET TODAY. GOD BLESS THEM.

Thanks to Ebonyjet.com, I found out that ANTM( ONE OF MY FAVORITE SHOWS) this season is going to be making a major turn in their typical models. Word is that the models this season are all going to be 5ft 7inches" or shorter. WOW! I guess there is hope for all you models who have felt like you weren't the right height. WINTER IN MARCH?..

IT'S MONDAY! THE START OF A NEW WORK WEEK AND MONTH. MARCH IS WHEN IT'S SUPPOSED TO BE WARM..WRONG GUESS AGAIN IT SNOWED OVER THE WEEKEND IN THE SOUTH..TODAY SEEMED LIKE IT WAS ONE OF THE COLDEST DAYS EVER ..THE WIND WAS BLOWING HARD..

It seems as though time is passing by rather quickly these days. It's so much I want to do and get done in a short period of time..I have been working hard at my job and at my passion. I'm truly really to reap the benefits. Times like this I wish I was still in school so I could take part in a Spring Break getaway. Maybe I will get my wish granted when my birthday rolls around next month.. At any rate so much going on today so let's get down to it...
