GOOD FRIDAY! TGIF..so its an ICE COLD, freezing Friday for us Tennesseans. It's a chilly 15 degrees in Nashville, TN. Hopefully, many you were granted your wish and given this day off. I'm in the house today and it feels good to be inside and in chill mode for a change. This week has been a busy one for me as always..because I always have something to do. I finished my grad application to Vanderbilt which was a big sigh of relief after I was done. Now, I just have to practice PATIENCE! (Something I have little of, but I'm working hard at it.) I have noticed a lot of things going on around us today so let's get it shaking..
FIRST OFF YESTERDAY EVENING WAS CRAZY I KNOW YOU ALL HEARD ABOUT THIS PLANE CRASHING IN THE HUDSON RIVER.. I'M SO GLAD EVERYONE MADE IT OUT SAFELY..GOD WAS TRULY THE PILOT OF THAT PLANE..TAKE A LOOK AT THIS PASSENGER'S INTERVIEW..
Schwartz THROWS UP THE DUECES!
FORMER TITANS defensive coordinator Jim Schwartz
Football has been a sensitive topic for me for the past two weeks, since my Titans lost..(gave away a win to Baltimore Ravens) but I'm finally ready to talk about football again in a sense. Well it's really no surprise to me but we are losing yet another coach on the Titans team. Jim Schartwz defensive coordinator has thrown up the dueces to the Titans and will MOVE ON TO BIGGER AND BETTER THINGS AS HEAD COACH FOR THE DETROIT LIONS! We are truly going to miss him, but you just can't blame him for leaving can you? Well whomwever takes his position has great shoes to fill..word is Titans assistant head coach/linebacker Dave McGinnis is in first place to take this job head on.
SOUTHERN LIVING MENTION
Southern LIVING magazine mentioned Green Hills mall as the seventh best neighborhood for shopping in it's top 10 list for best shopping neighborhoods( this issue is available on stands now). I guess this is because it the only mall we have here in Nashville with the big name designers like Bulberry, Juicy Couture,BEBE, Tiffany & Co. and BCBG to name a few. As an avid shopper, I think we need more malls like they have in other major cities like NY, LA, ATL,MIAMI, ETC. which offer a wide variety for shoppers like myself. I'm still waiting for them to get an Urban Outfitters around here, ALDO and FRIEDMAN shoe store...WHY IS IT WE ARE SO SLOW AT GETTING EVERYTHING??!!!..( It's like we get overlooked on shopping, music, and entertainment)
KEEP THE FAITH
Faith Evans delivers her new book out in stores today called, "Keep the Faith." It is a memoir that reveals her true life encounters through her troubled marriage with Biggie, her encounters with the Queen Bee, and her take on the Tupac scandal we have all heard so much about. I can't wait to get my hands on this and read it...I guess Faith will be rolling in the dough with this book and the new movie Notorious which is in theaters today. HERE'S A LIL TASTE OF THE BOOK..seems really good just from the excerpt. I'm definitely going to read it.
AN EXCERPT FROM FAITH EVANS' NEW BOOK, "KEEP THE FAITH"-TAKEN FROM NEWSDAY
I don't know what got into my head. But I decided that I needed to know once and for all what Big was really trying to do. On that night before Christmas, I drove to Big's house on a mission to find out where I really stood.
The security guard at the gate just waved me in when I pulled up. It was Christmas Eve and she'd seen me come into the complex with the kids, so I guess she didn't think anything of it.
I parked in the rear of Big's town house and walked up to the garage. It was locked. I hadn't been over to Big's house a whole lot but I did know that you could jiggle the garage door a certain way and unlock it.
I got into the garage, where there was an elevator that would take me to both floors of Big's duplex. There I was, rocking a black skully cap and a heavy goose-down jacket, tiptoeing into the elevator and pressing the button to go up to the second floor, where his bedroom was located.
I can't believe how bold I was. I knew all his boys were probably there. And anyone in there could have shot me on sight, thinking I was an intruder. I moved slowly, tiptoeing through the house silently.
I got to Big's bedroom door, turned the knob, and went inside. As soon as I saw a small lump next to Big's large frame, I flew into a rage, ran over to the side of the bed, and pulled back the covers. I grabbed some chick out of the bed and started beating her a--. At some point, the chick's wig came off in my hand: It was a short, cropped wig. I stopped throwing punches for a minute to get a good look at the chick I was beating up. It Lil' Kim. She was completely butt-naked, yelling as I pushed her around the room.
"So you're not f---ing her, right?" I screamed at Big. "Yeah, you not messing with her anymore right?"
When they heard the commotion, Cease, D-Roc, and Gutter came running into the room.
"Oh s---!" they yelled in unison. "It's Faye! How the hell she get in here?"
Big sat up in bed and pointed at Kim, who was standing in a corner of the room, trying to cover her naked body with her hands and while I was still yelling at Big.
"Yo, get her outta here," Big said. They led Kim out of the room and she screamed and cursed the whole way.
NOTORIOUS
TODAY IS NOTORIOUS BIG DAY! I don't know if I will make it to see this movie this weekend, but I encourage everyone to support this project if your looking for something to see in the movies this weekend. I just hope this isn't made like your typical hip hop movies, BUT MORE THAN LIKELY IT WILL BE. I agree with Lil Kim though..the girl Playing her role is the old member from 3LW NATURI and she looks nothing like Lil Kim, sorry to bust whomever's bubble..at any rate here's a clip from the movie to get you HYPED UP!( LOL)
BEYONCE TO SING FOR THE OBAMAS AT NEIGHBORHOOD BALL
According to MTV, Beyonce has won perhaps one of her biggest honors thus far.. she has been selected to serenade the Obamas first dance at their first inaugural ball. NO Word yet on the name of the song..but more than likely it will be a MOTOWN hit. In addition, here is a line up of other artists who will be there..Beyoncé's husband, Jay-Z, as well as Mariah Carey, Alicia Keys, Shakira, Sting, Faith Hill, Mary J. Blige, Stevie Wonder, Maroon 5and a DJ set by Nick Cannon. Among the presenters at the ball, which will be telecast by ABC, are Denzel Washington, Jessica Alba, Leonardo DiCaprio, Ray Romano, Jamie Foxx, Queen Latifah and Kate Walsh.

HOUSEWIVE OF ATL NENE KICKED OUT
LOUDMOUTH Atlanta housewive NeNe was recently, evicted from her 5,000-square-foot home at 1765 Silvermere Court in Duluth,GA. They moved September 14,2008 according to AJC, and they could no longer afford the home. So sad.. I watched this show every week and she was always the main one talking about how her husband made all this money and she was so happy to have him in her life. So why was he $6,240 behind in rent. I guess he wasn't making to much money or else they wouldn't be in this predicament.. You reap what you sow..I guess her rotten attitude towards Sheree and Kim came back to bite her in her A*S!.. NENE and her husband Greg better start making some hats..and get him to model them. (LOL)
