SO TODAY I WANNA FOCUS ON POSITIVE ENERGY IN MY BLOG, because after all today is A BEAUTIFUL DAY AND I'M SOO HAPPY ITS MY FOUNDERS DAY!!! FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO MAY NOT know I am a Devastating Diva and Jan. 13, 2009 was the day Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, INC. was started. Today, I'm smiling because my founders envisioned something so MAJOR that we are BLESSED TO impact the lives of others presently today. Let's be real about it, had it not been for my organization women may not have the opportunity to vote in an election. That ALONE is a testimony in itself..but I will stop here b/c I could go on and on about my WONDERFUL SORORITY! LET'S LET THE POSITIVE ENERGY ROLL OUT...


ANTM EVA PIGFORD IS ENGAGED!!



FIRST OFF, LET ME SAY A BIG UPS TO MY favorite ANTM WINNER EVA PIGFORD AND LANCE GROSS ..IT'S OFFICIAL THEY ARE GOING TO GET MARRIED..Yesterday, while I was waiting in Line at Walmart(we all know how fun that can be) I was flipping through PEOPLE magazine and I found out Lance proposed to Eva in December during the holidays in front of families from both sides. AHHH.. THAT'S THE WAY LOVE GOES!



EVA AND LANCE..I KNOW THEY WILL HAVE BEAUTIFUL KIDS!



A FRIENDLY OBAMA COMPANION

So today, I heard Obama has narrowed down his choice for the FIRST pet of the house. Recall, his 10 year old daughter Malia is allergic to dogs..so this was a hard choice to narrow it down..but we know DADDYS ARE NOT SUPPOSED TO BREAK THEIR PROMISES (LOL) The TODAY SHOW, reported he promised the girls a dog if he won..so DRUMROLL PLEASE... THE 2 BREEDS to consider are the Portuguese Water Hound and Labradoodle.

Isn't it ironic, that both of this types of dogs are rare breeds you would never think of. I guess we will find out soon enough the lucky dog that gets to wack his tail into the WHITE HOUSE.

TODAY IS A BEAUTIFUL DAY IN THE NEIGHBORHOOD.(LOL..as Mr. Rogers used to say) IT'S JANUARY 13, 2009, WHICH IS A MAJOR DAY IN HISTORY. IT IS TODAY THAT DELTA SIGMA THETA SORORITY, INC. was founded. OO-OOP!! You see IT was 96 years ago, twenty-two women had to go on a MISSION to SHAKE BARRIERS AND STEP OUT OF THE NORM to create a NECESSARY change.

It all started back on January 13, 1913 at Howard University when twenty-two STRONG undergraduate women founded DELTA SIGMA THETA SORORITY, INC. to promote excellence through academic achievements and assistance to people in need. OUR SORORITY FOCUSES ON ECONOMIC AND EDUCATIONAL DEVELOPMENT, INTERNATIONAL AWARENESS AND INVOLVEMENT, PHYSICAL AND MENTAL HEALTH, AND POLITICAL AWARENESS AND INVOLVEMENT.

Today, our grand chapter has 900 plus chapters in the US, Tokyo,Japan,Okinawa, Bermuda, Germany, Korea, St. Thomas, Seoul, Bahamas,st. Croix and we have a membership of over 200,000.
