Hope everyone had a great Tuesday! Today August 25, 2009 is a very special day in my mind, because it was 8 years ago to date that R and B Singer Aaliyah was taken away was killed in plane crash coming back from the Bahamas. She always exuded so much Beauty, Fashion, and Style..she was truly an Angel. I mean I can't recall one time where she came off like a diva or had a problem with anyone. I have so many memories when I think of Aaliyah. In high school, we always wore the dark loc shades and the hair over our left eye. ( fun times lol) In addition, I would say that it hit me hard when she died b/c it was the same year I started college.
I even did my first presentation on Aaliyah and I had a fly intro where I played her first album "INtro" from "One in A Million," where they spelled out her name A-A-L-I-Y-A-H! Needless, to say I did get that day. So all today I noticed on Twitter Aaliyah was a trending topic and it was great seeing all the love, memories, pictures, and videos..so I couldn't resist so here are some of my favorite videos and pics.

POP singer Chris Brown was sentenced today to 5 years porbation and he has to complete 1,400 hours in labor services in his state. Well I think he got off pretty easy. He just has to stay away from Rihanna for 5 years no phone contact or being within so many feet of her. I read earlier that he can within 10 ft of her at awards shows. What's your take on this?

SO Tiny got through her procrastination with her two girl groups and Toya turned the page from her past with Lil Wayne by going on a date with a NFL football player ..word is they are an item now! HI EVERYONE I HOPE YOUR HAVING A GOOD HUMP DAY! I HAVE BEEN BUSY ENJOYING THE BEAUTIFUL WARM WEATHER GOD PROVIDED TO US HERE IN NASHVILLE MONDAY AND TUESDAY. I started working out hard Monday and I hope to see some results soon. Today, has been pretty regular for the most part, besides my sinus headache I have been having since work earlier. I finished my first story for a new coming magazine that I'm music writer for and I hope to reveal it to you soon enough. Okay so this morning, as I was getting ready for work I did notice and think to myself there have been a lot of killing sprees going on around the world lately...what's really going on? Did you hear about that preacher that was gunned down inside his church in Missouri ( so :( sad) I can' t imagine how crazy that would be to sit in church and watch your pastor die. So I know you have all heard about this crazy guy that went on a killing spree in Alabama.. he killed his mother, aunts, grandparents, and so many other families before killing himself. It's so crazy out here and then not to mention all the violence throughout the country. POINTLESS.. I'm tired of hearing abot all these unnecessary deaths. So heartless, selfish, and ignorant on the killers part.
Moving on to the main topic of discussion on every front... I heard on Steve Harvey Show this morning they were discussing Rihanna's situation and giving information on DOMESTIC ABUSE and a number you could call. It's like this story is the talk of the world now... I mean CNN IS RUNNING SPECIAL SHOWS LEFT AND RIGHT, OPRAH OFFERED HER FEELINGS YESTERDAY AND SHE PLANS TO RUN A SHOW ON DOMESTIC ABUSE, THEN AS I'M HOME FLIPPING CHANNELS i see on BET THAT ROCSI AND TERRANCE PLAN TO HAVE A SPECIAL SHOW ON ABUSE IN RELATIONSHIPS. I also have been following this ..I read on Inside Edition that Rihanna's father has really had no contact with his daughter...she sent him a text message saying she missed him.
I know that has to be hard on the father..I hear she's literally shut out her whole family. I mean she really needs to go to her family on this one in my eyes. I agree with Oprah and Essence editor who said if he hits you once he will definitely hit you again. It's saddening to see that she ran back to him so quickly and easily.. they are actually working on a song together in the studio. There are even rumors that they have book deal and plan to go on tour and talk about domestic violence....WOW THAT WOULD BE CRAZY?! WELL ANY RATE I COULD GO ON AND ON ON THIS SO HERE WE GO...

Happy Friday everyone! Yes today is Friday, we have all been counting down and making plans for this day. It's finally here. I have been in thinking and dream mode here lately. Is it just me or do you ever feel like you have a load of ideas and dreams that are packed in the brain waiting to get out? Me being the creative and introverted individual at times, is what makes me shine in my opinion. Not to mention, my desire to be DIFFERENT. At any rate, I just have to say this blog is a testimony for me and the story on the 73 year old basketball player makes me A TRUE BELIEVER THAT ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE...THE SKY IS TRULY THE LIMIT! With that being said, let's get down to business for today...
So Mrs. Paper Planes bka MIA gave birth to a healthy baby boi around 2am the same night of the Grammys. I hope I'm energetic as she was on stage with her performance.. It was amazing to see her on stage peforming when it was her due date. HE'S SO ADORABLE!
WHILE we are on the topic of babies..I saw on BET today that rapper Nas and his wife Kelis are expecting their first baby together. This is great news. I'm excited for them. It will be Nas' first son. A true legend will be born.
Tiger woods is set to reveal the first photos of his new born son Charlie Axel Woods to Golf magazine...Wow he didn't waste any time I read on Ace showbiz the baby was 10 days old. Do you think it's good for celebrities to profit and expose their newborn babies? I think if I was a celebrity, my view would be to save my child from the cameras and magazines until the child was at a certain age to decide if they wanted to be in the limelight.. What do you think?
This is an amazing story right in TN! This 73 year old man is still living his life to the fullest and making his dream a reality... HE IS THE OLDEST COLLEGE BASKETBALL PLAYER EVER... does this make all you older hoopers or those who have finished college think about playing the game again?
TMZ has revealed the REAL picture of Rihanna bruises, busted lip and what looks to be a swollen face after the fight with Chris Brown. Wow! This is unbelievable..HORRIBLE! What do you guys think will happen with this situation? I hope there is a positive that comes out of this devastating situation.
So today, is a relax day for me. I had a WONDERFUL VALENTINE'S DAY and I'm very thankful for everything my sweetheart did for me. I'm in relax mode today. It's good to take that time to lay back and get ready for the week to come. I did manage to catch some of the All-Star festivities yesterday. I guess I will be watching the All Star game tonight. Anyhow, I'm moving forward slowly but surely to be where I need to be. I have actually managed to pay off another credit card. One of the deadliest, for me "EXPRESS" I LOVE THAT place, but in order to get ahead I'm going to cut back on that store.
Well withthat being said let's get on with my biz.
So today since I been home for a great part of the day i noticed a lot of new season reality shows that started. Yesterday I told you about Mtb4 SEASON 3..well today I saw part of TI's new show called Road to Redemption and Bentley Fonsworth is at it again with his 2nd season of G's to Gentlemen.. it seems like this show is here to stay.. I'm counting down till Tuesday when Snoop's new variety show premieres on MTV.

Okay, so pay close attention to the guy from HOUSTON He is a FOOL! THIS GUY HAS SKITTLE BRAIDS LITERALLY AND EVEN AN MTV TATT.. wow ..I don't know where there finding these supposed G'S but some of them are jokes seriously..watch and tell me what you think?
After a week, has transpired since the Chris and Rihanna incidient we have yet to hear anything for both parties. Well, that changed today. According to CNN, Chris' spokesperson delivered a message from the MESSENGER CHRIS BROWN..
"Words cannot begin to express how sorry and saddened I am over what transpired," the 19-year-old said in a statement released by his spokesman. "I am seeking the counseling of my pastor, my mother and other loved ones and I am committed, with God's help, to emerging a better person."
He added, "Much of what has been speculated or reported on blogs and/or reported in the media is wrong. While I would like to be able to talk about this more, until the legal issues are resolved, this is all I can say except that I have not written any messages or made any posts to Facebook, on blogs or any place else. Those posts or writings under my name are frauds."
There's a lot of things going on in my world. I feel as though TIME is of the essence at this point in my life. Lately, I have been preparing myself to get where I want to be with my career. I'm really LIVING my LIFE and taking the necessary measures to get where I feel I should be at this point. I can truly testify and say I'm BLESSED. I'm thankful for all the lessons,dreams,talents, and love GOD has manifested within me. This week, is truly a monumental period in my life and will reveal the next door of opportunity for me. That's my spill for tonight..so I'm ready to deliver the news you want to use...
STIMULUS DEAL OR NO DEAL?
Okay, so have you been following the stimulus bill? Obama says, the stimulus would create 3.5 million jobs and give tax relief for businesses and families in need. As a young woman hoping to advance my career this could definitely be a good thing for me. How do you feel about the stimulus package?

According to the Associated Press, Tigger and his wife Elin Woods gave birth their second child, Charlie Axel Woods on Sunday February 8, 2009. Congratulations to the Woods! (I wonder if he will take after his father and become a golfer.)

UPDATE ON RIRI AND CHRIS BROWN
I'm still waiting to hear from the horse's mouth at this point. I'm getting different stories from the regular news and entertainment sites.I try not to be a part of the rumor. Through all these mix ups and controversy, it seems we are forgetting the BIG picture...both of them grew up around environments with domestic abuse.( Chris Brown's mother was in an abusive relationship with his stepfather and Rihanna's parents would fight each other)..Apparently, close sources and articles have revealed this was not the first encounter for the couple. Mediatakeout, reported they had a violatle relationship for quite some time. My hearts and prayers are with Rihanna and Chris..they are both great entertainers and have a lot at stake. The fans are taking this hard and leaving comments everywhere from Myspace to Facebook.
As a result, ABC reported Brown has lost his endorsements and radio play on some stations after listeners and fans called in to complain. What's your feelings on this do you think it's too early to call or is it right for them to remove Chris' music or endorsements? see ABC VIDEO ..click here

I learned today that the winner of the Westminster Kennel Club show a Sussex spaniel. I love dogs. They are such sweet, smart and affecionate companions. When I saw the picture it made me think of my old English Cocker Spaniel I used to own "Baxter." Boy I miss my little dog..anyhow take a look at this adorable spaniel..
